Hello guest (login) (register)

A little site to share some music. Banging beats, throbbing basslines, lush strings and uplifting melodies. Can't really think how else to describe it. More will be added from time to time, as I manage to get them online. Brings back many memories, good times, messy times!

If you need to know how to burn normal CDs from mp3 files then there's a great tutorial here, you can also grab a shareware burner from here.

They are getting longer....too many quality tunes!

I know I'm sunshine obsessive but another one for the summer, just right with a Mohito in the rays by the pool :)

All the music found as usual using Trackhunter. Check it out at www.trackhunter.co.uk it makes finding your music so much easier.

I dusted the turntables off again for some mayhem the other evening. There's been some amazing tracks released over the last few months and here's a collection of some of them. As the title suggests I again found all the music for this mix just using Trackhunter and for me the music is first class. Check out Trackhunter at www.trackhunter.co.uk it makes finding your music so much easier.

Keith Boynton, 1996 Promo Mix
Added 9th February 2013
Not too much to say about this one really, it's another of the promo mixes I did to get gigs, I do think a lot of the music on it does stand the test of time though. Some nice tracks on there.

I only just got this tape back from a good friend after years of thinking it was lost. What a night this was, I just had a massive trip down memory lane listening to it. I remember playing the first tune too fast and struggling to slow it down quick enough (without slowing the floor) in order to get the next track in. Loads of folks from Chesterfield came to the night and it went off big time, a really really fun night!

I got the chance for some turntable fun again and here's the result. Close to two hours of mixed electronic funkiness. As usual the mixing is far from perfect but I think it flows quite well and I'm really into the music on it. I found all the tunes on this mix exclusively using Trackhunter and I reckon the results (track wise) are pretty good. I can't recommend it enough, check it out here

Keith Boynton, Breaks
Added 13th May 2012
Did this straight after the "Getting Back Into It" mix as I just couldn't stop. I'd always wanted to do a breaks mix but never got round to it. My electro background showing through I guess. Really enjoyed this, something nice and different but still got emotion in there. Hope I find some more music like this soon as it's awesome.

Keith Boynton, Getting Into It Now
Added 13th May 2012
Now I'm really getting into it again, seem to be finding some awesome music lately. I did this on 2 x Numark NDX800s connected to Traktor and again played as if it was a club set. Having 2 decks has solved the "blip" problems I was having which is nice so I got a little carried away and this comes out at a 2 hour 20 min ish session, loved every minute, even if the mixing isn't perfect. Getting used to this technological stuff though and really liking it. Nearly got my head round (some of) it!

Keith Boynton, First Jam in 10 years
Added 13th March 2012
Here's a recording of my first jamming session in 10 years. I did it on a single Numark NDX800 connected to Traktor (no auto beatmatching honest!) and played as if it was a club set. It's taking some getting used to converting from 1210's so there's a couple of dodgy mixes and I'd switch a few tunes if I was planning it but I did enjoy it and I hope you do too. There's a few skips where the recall button on the NDX causes the PC to blip when switching between decks but hopefully I'll manage to figure that out by the time I manage to get to do some more jamming. I'm slowly coming into the 21st century :)

The first of two bedroom promo mixes done to get some gigs. I remember playing some of the mixes at a particuarly messy party at Mark and Hanni's in east London. Simmy, Ash and the crew will remember that one very well as will the dog from East 17 :)

Keith Boynton, San Josť Club
Added 30th September 2009
The set from an excellent club in San Josť, packed to the rafters and the DJ "table" was suspended from the ceiling on chains. The crowd were extremely excited at the prospect of dancing to an English DJ so the mood was perfect. Much respect to Lotto and the Biptut crew for flying me and "RockIt" out there and also to Rudy and Dennis for arranging the guest spot at this club and their hospitality when we were out there. Good times :)

Keith Boynton, A Manchester Club
Added 8th January 2009
My memory is terrible and I wish I could remember the name of the club (or even when in '96) but I do remember the night. It was a dark and dingy basement in central Manchester where you couldn't see more than 6 inches in front of your face for smoke. The Dj box was a dirty metal cage. This was one of those club nights where everyone just got their heads down and got into the music, perfect for a Dj!

Keith Boynton, Some Northern Club
Added 16th November 2008
This is another from an early club booking, I've completely forgotten the name of the club but I remember it was up north somewhere near Huddersfield. I do also remember the directions to get to the club included turning right after a huge paper mache cow! It wasn't the best club in the world but it was busy and the crowd were up for it, us included.

Keith Boynton, Niche, Sheffield
Added 9th October 2008
Now here's a little gem, what a club Niche was. Dark, dirty and definately dodgy! I loved this place, played there a few times and this is the set from the first time (I think!). I remember the night not least for going upstairs into "the office" to get paid and thinking fuck am I gonna be alright here (bearing in mind I'd had a knife pulled on me when Djing at CJs a year or so earlier). Those that know who owned Niche back then will know what I mean.

Keith Boynton, Sugar Shack, Middlesborough
Added 2nd September 2008
I remember this one very well, it was always a bit of a favourite, an awesome club and an awesome night. Dj box was high up and a posh little viewing booth kind of like for the old geezas in the muppet show. I remember being disgusted at Jeremy Healy pretending to scratch and also pretending to mix at times aswell, but I also remember Kelvin Andrews being pretty shit hot.
